INTERESTING FACTS:

§  Zorn entered the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm when he was just fifteen years old.

§  In 1889, he was awarded the French Legion of Honour at the Exposition Universelle Paris World Fair.

§  Zorn was commissioned to paint President Grover Cleveland and his wife in 1899 and President William Taft in 1911.

§  In 1896, Zorn and his wife Emma, moved back to their hometown of Mora, Sweden. There they established a reading society, parish library and a children’s home.

 NOTABLE WORKS:Midsummer Dance, A Toast in the Idun Society, and William Howard Taft.
