Geomorfologija Baranje

Croatian:Istraživanje osobina i zakonitosti oblikovanja te evolucije reljefa Baranje ima zadatak da djelomično otkloni veliku prazninu u našim spoznajama o geomorfološkim osobinama nizinskog dijela naše Republike. Naime, ne samo da su naša znanja o reljefnim karakteristikama panonskog prostora temeljena na nekim zastarjelim shvaćanjima (npr. postojanje tzv. »lesnih« terasa, ili pojednostavljena i shematizirano shvaćanje strukture reljefa: aluvijalne ravni, »lesne« terase, lesne zaravni, pješćare), već je u nas općenito prirodno geografskoj problematici nizinskih prostora bila do sada poklonjena zaista mala pažnja. Činjenica je, međutim, da je u okviru panonskog, dakle, pretežno nizinskog prostora najvažnije demografsko i gospodarsko težište života naše zemlje. Opravdava to, a i nužno nameće po našem mišljenju, da se problematici geomorfoloških istraživanja nizinskog dijela Republike Hrvatske i u buduće pokloni daleko veća pažnja.
English (google translator):The study of the features and regularities of the formation and evolution of the relief of Baranya has the task of partially closing a large gap in our knowledge of the geomorphological features of the lowlands of our Republic. Namely, not only are our knowledge of the relief features of the Pannonian space based on some outdated understandings (eg the existence of so-called “woodland” terraces, or a simplified and schematic understanding of the structure of the relief: alluvial planes, “woody” terraces, woodland plateaus, caves) , in our country, the generally natural geographic issue of the lowlands has so far received little attention. The fact is, however, that within the Pannonian, therefore, predominantly lowland area, the most important demographic and economic focus of our country's life is. It justifies, and necessarily implies, in our opinion, that far greater attention is paid to the problem of geomorphological exploration of the lowland part of the Republic of Croatia.
